“If your face looks like this, never wear that.” It sounds useful because it promises a five-second decision. It can also turn a rough guide into a prohibition. We prefer curiosity.

Try two deliberately different approaches: a frame echoing a line of your face and one contrasting with it. Keep the lighting and angle consistent. The difference may be more informative than a face-shape category.

Look at colors alongside clothes you already wear. Bold black, fine metal and translucent material can give the same shape three different readings. Your real wardrobe tells you more than a label intended to describe you completely.

Then address what an image cannot settle: comfort, adjustments and compatibility with the lenses you need. Ask an optical professional about those questions. Style advice is not a fitting or prescription assessment.

Choose something you are excited to wear again, rather than something complying with a video’s rule. This is original editorial opinion, not a claim of clinical superiority or measured trend performance.
